Salt enhance the flavour of food and also serve as means of preservation for food. So, children of God by what they possess they are compared to salt in this world. They preserve the earth by unleashing the world from the activities of darkness through God's power. By living a life that exemplify the Christ kind of life, they save the world from crime, corruption and putrefaction.
