And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. Romans 8:10
The body been dead means it can no longer usher authority over you, rather your life is now control by the Spirit that has been quicken because of righteousness. Now my spirit is alive because Christ has taken resident in me.
