The LORD is my rock...Psalm 18:2
This is a metaphorical expression. The psalmist simply means he owned his safety to God. Whenever one make mention of the word ROCK the first thought that comes to our mind is stiffness or firmness. So, when God becomes your "rock" that means you have a defence that cannot be easily broken, meaning you are in a safe hand. Say it to youself every day "I am in safe hand."
