For all the gods of the nations are idols: but the LORD made the heavens.
All the gods of the nations are idols, meaning they are image of no value, works of man’s hand. They are powerless so you don't have to be dread by their appearance. Idols can't help them self or their worshipers for they are nothing in respect to Paul's statement "We know that an idol is nothing in the world" (1 Corinthians 8:4). If they are nothing that means they can do nothing, can make nothing, for they are static image that men ignorantly worship. Our God is far more superior and not to be compare to any of the man made gods...He made the heavens and the earth and everything therein hallelujah.
