The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. Psalm 23:1
This is a Psalm that exemplified the life of David, in relation to God's ability in meeting the needs of His children. All through the wilderness journey of God's people in the Old Testament, He was there to provide and protect His people against any form of attack from their enemies. In 1st Samuel we also saw how God defended a young boy like David from the hands of a fortified King like Saul who was after his life. God is still in the business of shepherding any one, who entrust his life into God's hands.
